The Horizon Treadmill Omega Z – groundbreaking design and functions

The Horizon Omega Z Treadmill has a completely new frame design in which the forward sloping bars offer more space for your ideal sprint training. Supported by the equally innovative and effective HIIT training programme Sprint 8, you will achieve the best possible training results in the shortest time possible, drawing you ever closer to your personal training goals with each training unit.

Use of intelligent, new technologies

With the help of PULSETRAIN Technology, more colour comes into your personal training. The PulsTrain programme uses your heart rate and a universal colour language for optimum guidance towards your training goals. Irrespective of what kind of training you do with your Omega Z Treadmill, the intelligent console constantly monitors your heart rate and, with luminous colours, shows whether you are in the target area of your training or whether to make adjustments to your training according to your objectives.

Via Bluetooth, accessories such as heart rate chest straps or contemporary fitness apps can be connected easily and at your convenience to the treadmill. With the help of the free fitDisplay app, you can establish via Bluetooth a connection between your smartphone or tablet and the treadmill in order to provide personal entertainment and to track workouts. Using the fitDisplay function, you can make your training all the more effective and vary it, as fitDisplay saves your personal fitness data and settings for optimum progress and achievement record-keeping with many training programmes.

The intelligent Featherlight folding mechanism also ensures effortless and space-economical treadmill storage, as the tread can be easily raised and lowered using hydraulics. Inbuilt transport rollers makes sure the treadmill moves around smoothly.

Ce tapis est très agréable à utiliser, la vitesse est parfaite pour mon usage car je ne ne souhaite pas préparer un marathon mais seulement m'entretenir quand le temps ne permet pas de sortir. Je fais essentiellement de la marche rapide avec inclinaison, le moteur est solide, le tapis ne fait pas trop de bruit. Parfait ! Bon rapport qualité – prix.

Das Omega Z ist ingesamt ein tolles Laufband. Die Konstruktion ist sehr hochwertig und stabil - hier geht so schnell nichts kaputt. Das Display ist bewusst schlicht gehalten, die wichtigsten Kennzahlen (Steigung, Zeit, Geschwindigkeit) sind sehr deutlich auf einen Blick erkennbar, zusätzlich kann man per Tastendruck noch auf andere Werte umstellen (Verbrauchte Kalorien, gelaufene Strecke, Puls). Die Geschwindigkeit und Steigung des Laufbands lässt sich sehr einfach über große Tasten justieren, ebenso gibt es eine komfortable Schnellstarttaste zum direkten loslaufen. Die Herzfrequenzmessung erfolgt per Handauflage an den Griffstangen und erfolgt auch schnell - die Genauigkeit der Werte habe ich nicht überprüft, scheint mir aber ausreichend. Zur Nutzung in der Wohnung war für mich wichtig, dass das Laufband ruhig und mit einer angemessenen Lautstärke nutzbar ist - und hier glänzt das Omega Z, denn während dem Laufen ist das Laufband sehr ruhig und absolut nicht laut. Der Motor arbeitet leise, die Umwälzung des Bandes ist ebenso leise und durch die gute Federung sind auch die Trittgeräusche in einem sehr akzeptablen Laustärkerahmen. Ich denke, mit geringer Laufgeschwindigkeit (z.B. zum zügigen Gehen) ist dieses Laufband sogar nachts nutzbar, ohne die Nachbarn zu stören. Die Lauffläche ist angenehm breit - mir persönlich sind "Heim" Laufbänder schnell zu schmal zum angenehmen laufen, doch mit 53cm steht das Omega Z auch den meisten Studiogeräten in nichts nach. Auch optisch macht es durchaus was her - bis auf die Abdeckung am Kopf des Laufbandes unten und die Rückseite des Displays ist alles aus stabilem Metall. Das wirkt deutlich besser als die üblichen Plastikbomber. Ein deutlicher Kritikpunkt bleibt jedoch: Die ganze Bluetooth Funktionalität ist sehr fummelig. Die von Horizon empfohlenen Apps habe ich nur nach mehreren Anläufen dazu gebracht sich zu verbinden und der Inhalt dieser Apps ist auch nicht wirklich hilfreich. Angeblich gäbe es hier zusätzliche Einstellungen zum Gerät, außer Trainingsprogrammen habe ich aber nichts gefunden. Die ViewFit und fitDisplay Apps sind wohl in China entwickelter Ramsch, denn viele Sachen funktionieren schlichtweg nicht und teilweise sind Funktionen gar nicht richtig übersetzt und erscheinen auf chinesisch. Auch die Anmeldung ist ein sehr dubioser Prozess mit Nummern, Passcodes und sonstwas. Hier muss sich Horizon etwas besseres überlegen - in der Preisklasse den Kunden schlecht entwickelte China-Apps unterzujubeln ist schlichtweg lächerlich. Immerhin scheinen vereinzelte Drittanbieter Apps besser zu funktionieren, Kinomap z.B. konnte ich problemlos verbinden und die App hat es auch geschafft, Geschwindigkeit ... [Read more]
