With its powerful motor capable of moving a large belt for a 140 × 51-cm running surface with a continuous horsepower of 3 hp at speeds of up to 20 km/h, this treadmill serves a wider spectrum of potential users that includes avid runners demanding higher training intensities. The 15.6″ LED console doesn’t rely on unnecessary gimmicks and simply provides a clear, easy-to-read layout of the relevant training data. The speed, time, distance, calories, heart rate, pace and incline are permanently displayed during the workout. A total of 34 programmes offer plenty of training variety: quickstart and 24 pre-installed programmes plus target-value countdowns for time, distance and calories, heart rate controlled and custom programmes. In the custom programmes, users can define their own training interval times and inclines.

Kinomap lets users follow virtual routes from around the world on their Alpha Run 400. Visit Times Square in New York City and then go for a hike in the Swiss Alps – the incline of the treadmill automatically adjusts to match the terrain in the video. A USB-C port and wireless charging area keep your phone battery from dying while you’re in the middle of an adventure on a desert island or episode X of your favourite series to binge-watch.
